Christopher is a specialist Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence practitioner.  He also undertakes civil actions against and by the police.  His PI practice is Claimant based and he has a particular expertise of employers’ liability claims.  He is instructed regularly by the main Trade Union firms and has a particular interest in disease claims, including asbestos related litigation, deafness, HAVS and WRULD.  He has also been instructed in a broad range of clinical negligence claims, including fatal misdiagnosis and cerebral palsy actions.



Christopher has extensive experience of appeals to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, where he has represented numerous applicants at appeals concerning eligibility and quantum.



He has a range of experience in civil claims concerning the Police.  He has defended civil actions against the Police at trial and has also extensive experience of applications concerning sexual offenders and Anti Social Behaviour Orders.

Cases

Re T -  £230,000 award from the CICAP for a scaffolder who sustained a serious knee injury in an unprovoked assault outside a pub in south London.



Ali v Nottingham NHS Trust - Claim arising out of clinical negligence resulting in cerebral palsy of 2 years old, who died as a result 8 years later.  Judgment in Claimant’s favour of £400,000.



Morgan v RJW - £800,000 settlement of a professional negligence claim.



Dickerson v Royal Mail - Occupational Stress claim brought by former Royal Mail Worker.  A ‘second breakdown’ case.  £73,000.
